A fresh install from the ShutterLab team — full-height shutters in waterproof composite for a home in Harrow. The customer was delighted with the finish.
This job covered two window types in the same house: a three-sided bay and a standard bedroom opening. Both got full-height panels in a crisp white, fitted inside the reveal. The material is waterproof composite (ABS hardwood in the trade) — a stable, wipe-clean finish that holds its colour and will not warp.
The bay window
Bays need panels that follow the angles, not a flat kit stretched across the opening. These full-height frames sit flush in each face of the bay, with a mid-rail that lines up with the window bars so the top and bottom louvres can tilt independently.
The standard bedroom window
The bedroom is a simpler rectangular opening, still full height. Close the lower louvres for privacy while you dress; leave the top open for daylight. Panels fold back to the sides when you want the whole window clear.
