A fresh install from the ShutterLab team in Chacombe, just outside Banbury — full-height shutters in hardwood, with 76mm louvres, hidden tilt, and a hidden split.
The same spec runs through the house: living room, bathroom, and bedrooms. Full-height panels, no visible tilt rod, and a hidden split so the top and bottom louvres tilt independently without a mid-rail across the glass.
The living room
In the living room, a wide opening gets a multi-panel full-height set behind existing floral curtains and a valance. White hardwood and 76mm louvres keep the look clean against the cream walls and soft furnishings.
Bathroom
Hardwood works well in a dry bathroom like this one — four panels across the window above the basin and WC, with the same hidden tilt and hidden split for privacy without blocking daylight.
Bedrooms
Upstairs, a three-panel bedroom set shows the hidden split clearly — top louvres open for sky and light, lower louvres closed for privacy. A wider four-panel bedroom window gets the same hardwood finish and 76mm louvres.
Hidden tilt, hidden split, 76mm louvres
Hidden tilt means there is no vertical tilt rod on the face of the panel — a cleaner look across living rooms and bedrooms alike. A hidden split keeps independent top-and-bottom control without a mid-rail cutting the window in two. Hardwood gives a solid, lasting finish that suits traditional village homes as well as newer rooms.
